Humans act holistically in creating large system problems, but act like individuals in trying
to solve them.

As someone with a background in engineering, I have an interest in scientific accessibility and sharing of knowledge. I have become interested in how science, technology, engineering and complex systems theory mathematics impact our societal and global systems.
For four years I was involved with Engineers Without Borders (EWB). This organization has helped me understand more fully the complexity of social impact projects. We strive to create accessibility to resources required for the success of start-up social ventures. For me, I have grown to understand social impact as a set of goals that use fact and research to properly address community concerns and work with that community to build a better tomorrow.
